I know they say that time goes faster as you get older, but I really can't believe that this year is over.
I also realized I haven't been taking many pictures with my nice camera now that I have my phone...

Productive Day

DSC_9483
Sometimes, it’s good not to try too hard to get everywhere and do everything… and sometimes, it takes a dog with risky bowels to make you slow down and stay close to home. We managed to get a lot done today, even though we didn’t do ANYTHING we originally planned to do!
Ian is here for the weekend, and I had his help getting the chicken coop clean and ready for Winter.
I gave Ian and Josh haircuts.
Travis got a ton of leaves cleaned up, mulched, and into my second garden area. On top of that, he got some Christmas decorations put up outside, and we FINALLY figured out how to wire them so that they don’t trip the house circuit! (stinking old houses)
Tomorrow, I think we’re getting indoor Christmas set up. Maybe I’ll even get REAL pictures of it all!

Change of Plans

We had great plans to catch a college basketball game today, and see one of our surragate kiddos play... and then to visit some good friends. Instead, the puppy decided to have majorly catestrophic bowl issues... and so we're staying home.
Which means I get to enjoy the hubs and our oldest son who is here for the weekend... and maybe, JUST MAYBE...
We might put up the Christmas decorations.
I guess it's not so horrible when plans change.

Getting into the Christmas Spirit!

I've been amazingly, and wonderfully busy lately! So many creative adventures have come up for me! I'm to be published in a new BOOK next year, I've been published by Stampington in Art Doll Quarterly, AND in Artist' Cafe in the last month, and I'll be having work from my time on the Amazing Mold Putty design team placed on their PACKAGING!? WHAT!?! It's been just crazy... and in all the creativity, I'm finally getting time to get into the Christmas spirit. First up, is a thrift store bust I bought ages ago, that I made into a "new" display piece for my little sister to use for showing off her birdcage wedding veil.
I love the way she turned out!! You can see how I made her on the Creative Paperclay® modeling material's BLOG, RIGHT HERE!
What are you working on? Will you be making any gifts this year?
Disclosure: As a member of Creative Paperclay® modeling material's design team, I receive product at no cost to myself.
