I'd rather be sleeping

I have been missing from my blog. You may or may not have noticed...
I wasn't able to participate in OWOH like I had hoped.
Things are moving quickly in my life... and I wasn't able to get anything made to give away.
Travis' transfer back to our home town area was approved.
Good.
And then the ball started rolling.
It rolled really REALLY fast.
First Travis moved.
He's staying with his parents in the town we'll be moving to.
Then over the course of about a 1/2 a week, we realized that our move would be coming sooner than later, and that Ian needed to move too.
So he finished his term early at the school here, and by the next Monday, I was signing him up at a new school, and leaving HIM in the hands of my Mother and Father In Law as well.
We decide on a house to rent.
I can hear the ball moving...
I've been TRYING to get some things in order and ready here and there. It's tiring work, and at the end of the day I look back and wonder what the CRAP I did all day... but ends are being tied, and that's what matters. Looks like the move will happen at the end of Feb, I'm thinking.
BUT
OH
HO
NO!!
It's happening by the 15th of Feb.
THAT'S LIKE TWO WEEKS!!!
And now, I'm looking at packing up my entire house and moving in two weeks. TWO WEEKS.
So I have some news coming on the 1st, that I'll try to share... otherwise, I may be a few weeks blogging. lol I'm just feeling a HAIR frazzled.
Totally overwhelmed.
Really?
When I get like this,
I'd rather be sleeping.

  1. ...and, um, those two weeks go by fast. Just saying...you know...from experience. ;)

So glad to read about this happening! I know we have been in similar shoes in regard to needing a change of scenery. ;-)

  2. ::hugs::

A local friend of ours just found out they needed to move...to Montana no less...in 10 days. So it could be worse. ;)

I have total faith in you. It's hard and stressful. Make lots of lists and cross it off as you go so at the end of the day you can SEE what you accomplished (oh, how I love lists). Upbeat music helps too. So does chocolate. And friends (if I could be there - you know, if we weren't doing the same thing right now - I totally would). Call in some favors, call in some chocolate and pop in some good tunes.

You are strong, you are capable. You are woman!

    You can do it!!

A little caffeine, some chocolate--sleep is so over rated...

  7. Yeah, I noticed. But I suspected it was about the move. YOU are a major trooper. This is temporary, just try to tell yourself that when you're in the whirlwind. One day, it will be past, and OWOH will be here next year for you.

I couldn't contribute, either. But when you get settled, I want to send you something. Make emailing me your new addy a huge priority in your day, okay?

  10. Whew - I'm whirling just from the description! Good luck, and may I pass along the song I always sing with my kiddos (ok, so it's just for cleaning their rooms...but I think it could be fun here):

    Step by Step
    Bit By Bit
    Piece by Piece
    We get the job done.

(Sung to whatever tune pops in your head.) :)

Deep breaths - its an exciting time!!
