Where did my time remote go!?

I'm starting to feel like a broken record...

I'm starting to feel like a broken record..

I'm starting to feel like a...
Whoops!!
Seriously!
Any day now. This carnival ride of work and life will slow down...
I suppose I could PUKE... that always makes the ride stop, right!? lol
More work and dishes. That's what I've been up to.
Thank you to EVERYONE who left a comment on my last post!! I wasn't expecting such a wonderful response to it!! I just needed to write it because I recently had a friend who was crushed by some horrible things that a "real" artist I used to think highly of said and did to her. I just had to speak up.
I took this photo of my "new" old camera a while back to share, and then nada.
Isn't it YUMMY? Now I need to make my contraption to keep light out. Then I'll be able to take PICTURES through the viewfinder!!

One of these days soon, I'd like to be able to get on here and say I've done more than work and dishes!! lol I'm off to find that remote, and stop time for a while...

  1. Hi Rachael

I thought you had a bee in your bonnet, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend being hurt like that.

Some 'so called artists' can be so cruel, I think they get a bit above themselves, as my mum would have said.

There is no need for unkind words and people should think first, and remember, art is in the beholders eye.

I've had some horrid things said about my 'art' in the past, I got hurt and became very sensitive about my work, writing my blog has helped, together with meeting all the wonderful people in blogland who have given me back some of the confidence I had lost.

Please pass on my best wishes to your friend and give her a big hug from me.

    Julie

P.S. And that 'artist' what does she know, for one thing she is not such a nice person and it will show through her work one way or another.

Your friend on the other hand is sensitive and that shows that she cares, which in turn will shine through in her work.

  3. I feel your pain on the dishes. It seems like they are never ending, doesn't it?

  4. Ahhh, the carnival ride of life and work does not slow down at this time of year. It speeds up until you are so dizzy you think you just might jump off, and then bam.....it slows to almost a stop and you can actually see the top of Mt. Washmoredishes in Needtowashclothes Orwellbenaked....

  6. Stop the world, I want to get off! Sometimes the dishes have to wait ... and the decision made that instead of washing all those clothes, one must climb up laundry mountain and paint a mural on the ceiling.
