Something I never would have DREAMED that when I started blogging three years ago; that I would have met so many FRIENDS here on line. I certainly would have told you that you were NUTS if you had tried to tell me that I would actually try to MEET with them IN PERSON!!

I have met so MANY amazing women here on line. Some of them, I have been lucky enough to meet- DARE I SAY-
IN
REAL
LIFE.
Most recently, my mom and I got to meet Kerin (pronounced krrInn not kAIren) and we had SO MUCH fun!! She is an artist who lives about an hour from me, here on the coast of Oregon, and we met "halfway" in a town between us for Sushi, thrifting and garage sales!! Here's a photo of us... (notice my bangs are getting LONG...)
Which leads me to Thing TWO:
When you have short hair, it doesn't take long for your hair to become "too long" for the style you have it cut. When I decided to go short again I knew this. I knew!! Some days though... it's hard to find a cute way to make due until you can cut it again. In my case, I cut my own hair, so it's also a matter of having the will to clean up the mess after I'm done. I should tip myself better. The picture above was a "make due" style. Bangs too long, sideburns WAY too long. They were TRYING to stay tucked behind my ears... lol
Tonight,
I did the deed.
I cut my hair.
It feels SO much better!! Funny how hair can make you feel like YOU.

I still feel the most comfortable when I wear my hair + make-up in "chola-style." I've totally tamed it over the years (when I'm out in public), but just recently gave up on lining my lips in brown liner. :-/

I am not stranger to taking scissors to mine when I'm not happy with it. My stylist always gives me this look and asks "Were you having a 'moment'?"
I have never felt more like myself until I cut all of mine off.
Awesome that you can cut your own hair and have it look that good! I have been known to take my CutterBees and give my bangs a trimmin'! But, my mom is a barber/stylist and does my hair for me. I'm a southern gal and never go anywhere without the hair fixed and the face on (as you know)!

Ok I can see the apprehension on meeting ppl online. I think the dating thing would be worse LOL...But other artists..nah...Yall looked like you had fun...I cut my own hair too..and I am over due..Growing out of the same style as u. I love that hairstyle.....Your pics always come out so cute....I totally understand the growing thing and short hair....Hair looks adorable.

What do I do to feel like me? I scrap! I also like to get out with hubby and do something active....hit some baseballs for example! And watch sports! That's me!
Okay I'm totally amazed that you cut it yourself! Which is good because it's cheap and if you screw it up you can fix it yourself and not be pissed that someone else screwed it up. But I know I would not do a good enough job cutting my own hair. But my hand is feeling a little twitchy right now to try it! Oh, and your's looks awesome! AND I put on mascara everyday (okay, almost everyday) so I feel like myself!

How do you cut the back yourself? Do you stand leaning over the sink with the medicine cabinet mirror open slightly while you lean halfway over the sing to see the back reflected in the big mirror? That is how I imagine it. :)
