Travis took us to a Crayfish Festival that had it's first year debut near us this year. It was so fun. Tasting new foods, and listening to the live band... Lots of photos to share... if you dare!!
We barely made it in time to get the last of the crayfish!! Nearly the last pound that the vendor had. My first taste of New Orleans' Style Crayfish. I like it. I like it ALOT.
Even took the advice of some friends on line and sucked the head. I mean really. If you're gonna try it, you should do it up right.
Josh did it too. We both agreed it was yummy.
The boys got their faces painted...
This is my view of Ian now. Notice you're looking UP.
This lady was FREAKING AWESOME!! Says she ate all those claws herself!! lol Wonder if she's got the same wine I bought...
There was FOOD, FOOD and MORE FOOD!!
Finger lickin' GOOD food.
The live band made you feel like you were right there, in New Orleans!! Complete with a Washboard to jam on. The Etouffee Band "swamp rock" jubilee...
Even Hash met a few new friends!!
Josh took a ride on what will forever be called "the SPINNY THINGY"
We ran into friends, and spent the last half of our stay enjoying it all with them... Thanks, LeeAnn, for reminding me about this!! It was MORE than worth it.
And as we were leaving... I caught a look at this sign... :P made me giggle. You can see ALL our photos on Flickr!!
Now I'm off to finish up my day!! I've been spoiled and loved, and I appreciate it all. Hope your day had some bright spots too!! Pass a Good Time!!

Really? Suck the head? Yuck! Love the pics of the boys. Ian looks so grown up. I'm glad he is still a good sport about getting his picture taken :) Great shot of you. Did Travis take it?

What a fun Mother's Day! Looks like you all had a blast (crawfish head sucking and all).
that definitely looked like one wonderful day and great photos....have never tried crawfish....but I did see one walking along the road once which I thought was a little odd, but I am sure he had somewhere he needed to be :) :) We have something similar to those back in Australia called Yabbies.....only they turn blue when cooked not red.
