Still deciding if it's done or not... I think a coat of crackle paint on the mug part would look really neat... but not sure if I want to do that...

I really like the steam, and the funny part about THAT is that I had something totally different there, and really HATED it. So I started to wash it off with a wet washcloth... and as I was doing that... this steam happened. Just a lesson!! Don't let your mistakes take you!!

This is totally awesome!! And it's true about art and mistakes "“Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.” Scott Adams Love this!!
This is totally amazing Rachel!!
wow! i just want to ease into the cup and take a bath in coffee.
The steam is very cool...whatever you did it was perfect.
Great mistake! I think crackling the mug would look cool too.
Celebrate your mistakes! I love the steam you created. I also think that crackling the mug would look great.
That seriously looks like steam... so regardless of how you made it... you made it. Steam on!
Gorgeous! I love this! Fantastic work!
"There are no mistakes in art - only discoveries to be made". That is a fantastic painting.....and I think the crackle would add a really nice texture.
WHY am I never your first comment? HUH?! Sure, it's been, like, 24 hours, but I think there should be some provision.
what was I going to say?
Oh, yeah! This is a GREAT cup of coffee. It really looks hot and rich. The cup has heft and weight to it. The background is great, as I've already said about a million times. I don't know if I like the crackle paint idea, because it looks so solid and cafe-like now. but who am I, Rembrandt?
okay, close.
I love everything about this one, Rachel---and the steam: positively serendipitous ; )
This is perfect. Sometimes the best art comes from "mistakes!"
