Twisted Pioneer...

SuperBowl Sunday, I brought the goods to make THE BEST Bacon Wrapped JalapeƱo "thingys" for a treat. I got the recipe from Ree, on her blog The Pioneer Woman Cooks. They are DELICIOUS. I wasn't the only one who thought so. BUT I ended up with left over peppers and cream cheese. *gasp* no BACON... and being the lazy resourceful woman I am, I decided to think out side the grocery store. Here is my take on Ree's Recipe.


I used Crumbled Bacon from Hormel! Really! That's ALL I changed. I followed Ree to a tee, but instead of wrapping the bacon, I mixed bacon into the cream cheese. Hormel's REAL bacon is real bacon, shredded, and fully cooked. So no worries there.

I just folded it into the cream cheese...

and followed Ree's Recipe the rest of the way!!

I did broil for a TAD too long, but I can assure you, that the flavor was NOT compromised!! They were YUMMY!!!
