One of those ones you don't want to have to make.
One of those things you would like to find an extra two hours here and there to make time for.
BUT
Sometimes, there is not a REAL choice that makes you happy.
Some days, there is no good compromise.
Sometimes, you have to just stop.
That's what I had to do. I had to step down from my design team position on Scrapping the Music. It was a tough call, and one that I wish I had foreseen when Mary made the call to add more members. I didn't see it coming though, the time crunch that having that one extra thing would add. I didn't see the personal stress that was headed into my life, and when it hit, I just didn't have it in me to keep going. So I had to let something go. I had Tally, or STM. It was really not a question of which I would have to lose. I hope that my time and my creativity will come back to a force that allows me to play with Mary and the girls soon! I love her concept, and the idea to take a song and put your emotions from it onto paper. I think it's brilliant. Please visit the girls on STM, and try a challenge out for yourself!! They have a GREAT song going right now! You can find a link to the blog here on my blog, under Challenge Yourself! in my sidebar.

You are so wonderfully talented, I know they will miss you, but sometimes you just have to let something go in order to get something back (like time...or sanity...hello?!) :)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you had to let that go. Those decisions are painful. When you look at it individually it doesn't seem so big but when it's piled onto all the others it can be too much!
