I won a Wii Game Console, from Gamer's Hell, an online gaming site that Travis goes to for some of his favorite free online games. They have some really good stuff there. FREE. Seems to be a theme with them! lol Travis was on looking for some games on day, and they had a Harry Potter trivia game. He had me answer the trivia Q about the last movie, and we sent in the email with the answers. I didn't think much about it, because I really didn't expect to win.
BUT I DID!!!
I also won the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix game for the Wii! So we have been playing the Wii, and we all have VERY sore arms! lol

Macs helped me by modeling the smaller version of a sling that I made for an online friend who just had a baby! I made one for her daughter's dolls too, and since she's not where I can show her how to wear them, I took photos. This guy CRACKS ME UP!

Week 31 Deck of ME

I wasn't sure if you would be able to see what the photo behind my doodling started out to be, so here is the original photo for you to see.... WEEK 31 in the Deck of ME challenge from Emily Falconbridge's blog had a prompt "NO REGRETS" this week. I immediately knew I wanted to do my card about my choice to become a teen mother, and to keep my child. I was 17 when I found out I was pregnant, and 18 when I had my son. I struggled for a long time with my decision to keep my son, or give him up for adoption. I chose, to keep him. I was a single mom for almost 4 years before I married Travis. I don't regret ANY of it.

Documenting the story in a Child's Art

Have you ever listened to a child explain the story behind their drawing or creation they have made? I love them. Often, I forget them. On 11-06-05 Josh drew this picture for me. I know it was that day, because I wrote it down. I also wrote down the explanation and story of the picture, but not in the way you might think. I wanted to DRAW over that picture! I wanted to point to JUST the spot that he told me about, and that's when I came up with the idea to put his drawing into a plastic page protector. AND WRITE ON IT! So here, is the story behind Josh's picture. I was ABLE to write on the page protector, so you can take the picture out, and it's plain, as you can see above, but in it's sleeve, the story is there.

I think this would also be a great idea for the stories our children tell when they scrap! Emily Falconbridge has a WONDERFUL budding artist. She just blogged about it today. It got me to thinking about having my own children share in my craft. And still capturing the story without taking over their page.

Not at all how I'm feeling....

But I thought MAYBE if I put that there, it would make me a tidge less stressed today...
I've been really busy lately. I have so much going on, and so much arranging of OTHER PEOPLE'S LIVES... I feel like I'm forgetting things, and I don't know what they might be, but judging by all the things I'm coordinating right now, I'm pretty sure they will turn out to be significant... and I hate that I can't blog, I mean REALLY blog about it. The flower is a poppy that I came across... I can't WAIT until I can get some seed from it.
