I drew this for TallyMeBanana on TallyScrapper. I drew her avatar for her before, and she asked for a summer avatar. So I drew this one. She's also wearing her itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini... for the first time today. hee hee.

Lemonade...

I love my neighborhood. These kids were SMOKIN' the stand today. Thanks to my neighbors and all the walkers who passed by and STOPPED. I loved it. The kids were so proud, and the looked too cute. Made a pretty penny too! Josh is saving for a Nintendo DS lite, and he's about 1/5 of the way there... with a couple more dollars today because of all those GREAT people. Mwwwwah! Love 'em.

Deck of ME week 24

I realized that I missed a week, and really, I can't tell you why. So this is out of order, because I haven't done the card that precedes it. This week's prompt by EMILY was I remember. I used a pattern from a comforter that the theater director gave Travis and I when we got married. We had used it in just about every scene we ever did in acting class. Then I scrapped some memories of our theater days...

It's a toss up.

So girls, as you might already know, are really emotional. Boys can be too. Right now, I happen to have a few girls in my house. I'm really not USED to girls. I don't really know what to do when they cry because THEY didn't WANT the light on while we watched "Tartoons"...
And no, having the room light off, with the HALL light on isn't a good compromise...
And no, I don't CARE that it's not REALLY dark in the room because it's not DARK OUTSIDE, I just want it dark, and now, I've been upset long enough that I think what I'm really crying about is that Josh wouldn't let me play with HIS toy, and I think maybe I'm sad because
Oh yeah,
I miss my mom...
So I give hugs and back rubs, and we all go to bed INSTEAD of watching Tartoons, which, bring a few MORE tears, because NOW, I think it's OK that the light isn't very dark, all I really want is to watch Tartoons.

Evidence

Evidence that there are girl feet pattering about my house for the next week! I'm having some relative's daughters (three of them) stay with me for a week. I love it. They stayed last year too, and we had such fun. I enjoy my breath of girly with them. It's also nice to send them home and go back to arm farts and fingernail dirt. Because really, I'm a boy's mom.

What were they THINKING?

I'm participating in a circle journal on TallyScrapper. There are about five of us I think. We have each chosen a topic for our journals, and the topic of the gal whose journal I'll be getting next is I LIVE HERE... So the other day, when the sun was setting, I went out and took pictures around my town. This is one of the motels here. All I can say is WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? How can a motel with a name like SALTY SEAGUL be anything BUT seedy? Travis says that they have named them all wrong. That a HOtel should be where you take the HO's. MOtels should be where you go when you've got MONEY... and that the REALLY bad ones should be LOtels. I think maybe he's onto something.

Isn't He Lovely?

This is what I get to see outside my kitchen window every now and then. It's a little hard to see, but this IS a boy hummingbird. He's got the most BEAUTIFUL ruby red throat EVER. Just below him, on the other side of my basket, is a little single feeder that I have hanging in my flowers. I have to fill it often, but the little buggers see the flowers there, and they keep checking to see if they are anything for them. They aren't really, and to I put the feeders in there. As of right now, I have counted FOUR hummingbirds in my yard at one time. They make me smile.

Geek Level Computer Skills. I am not QUITE sure why, but this makes me smile, and giggle a little. My mom really ROCKS the computer.
