Josh mentions something about "the smart kids" (after just telling me about getting 105% on a spelling test) and I say, "You're ONE of the smart kids!" to which he cries, "I'm Anakin Skywalker!! I've become the VERY thing I have been fighting against!" ~Josh age 12.6

Mmmmmm So fun.
So I don't know who took this picture, but it pretty much tells you what I did all night Tuesday, and part of the day Weds. It was SUCH fun. Macs thought he would start the games off, and then I decided that he should not play alone. I felt better by Thursday, and today I feel pretty much back to normal.
THEN
Ian decided to play this morning, and Travis thought IAN could use a partner... It's been fun.
On the up side, my toilet has never BEEN this clean...
My computer even TRIED to join in today. It decided not to be able to access the Internet. I did get that fixed before I went MAD... So, Other than my pumpkin guts all over the toilet, things are back to good, and I will draw a name for my Blogiversary TOMORROW.
Did I mention that I am the only GIRL in my house?
I'm also the only person who seems to be able to contain ALL of her pee to the INSIDE of the bowl.
I'm also the ONLY person who cleans the toilet.
It's also been a while.
I'm STILL the only one who cleans the toilet.
I did it AFTER I was done using it for my head to fit in.
You should know that boy's are smelly.
Take my word on this.

Week 16 Deck of ME
LOVED the prompt from Emily' BLOG this week! Get someone else to contribute!
I took mine to Josh's class, where I volunteer, and I had the kids put their fingerprints on my card. Then I had them write their names on a blank white piece of paper. When I got home, I scanned the paper into the computer, and printed it out as a wallet sized picture onto a transparancy. I put the signatures over the top of my card. I really enjoyed this prompt!

Deep Thoughts
I had this thought the other day, and I realised that it's really pretty cool to think about. I have been living what I love. It's my new Life Rule, so to speak. I am only doing the things that I love. Yes, I know, housework is not something ANYONE loves... but doing it nurtures one of the things I DO love... my family, and their need for a place of peace, and also a place for friends and family to know they are always welcome.
So what do doing what you love and the picture of my garden have to do with each other?
Good Question.
Life is a Garden. You have to be careful what you plant in it. Different people have different Gardening Needs. What I need in my garden may not be what another needs in theirs. That's OK. Tending a garden is important too. You also have to be careful not to OVER plant it. If you over plant your garden, then none of the plants can grow to their full potential, and you get scrawny crummy crops. If you plant carefully and wisely, utilize your space and keep things watered and cared for, then your plants will flourish and produce. Sometimes so much that you can share with friends and neighbors. One thing about choosing your plants when you are planting a garden, is that you have to choose for the SIZE of your garden. One squash plant goes a long way. Do you really NEED two? What about that flower you admire in your neighbor's yard? Sure, it's pretty, but will it get too big for YOUR yard? Will having it limit your choices when it's time to choose OTHER things to plant? Maybe that flower you are thinking about buying takes a lot of care? Do you have the time and resources to care for it properly? Are you trying to plant something you LOVE at the wrong time? You can't start planting in the middle of winter, unless it's the RIGHT thing. Are you pruning too early? or maybe even too late? Did you plant an invasive plant that needs to be cut back, and maybe potted? Maybe you have a plant that needs MORE room. I thought about all this and realised, that life is so much like gardening! I am learning to tend to my life garden. To chose my plantings carefully, and tend to what is there. To pay attention to the details. Look for pests that could damage my crops. To listen to my neighbors when they tell me of troubles they have fixed in their gardens. To learn from the master gardeners who have gardens that show their ability to choose wisely. To learn to spot those who THINK they know how to plant, and really have no idea. To know when a garden was planted purely for show, and not to nurish the soul. Most importantly, I am remembering that my life garden is just that. MINE. You cannot tell me how to plant it. Just as I cannot judge you for how you plant yours. I can learn from you, and lend knowledge when I am asked, but my garden will not be tended by anyone but me, and trying to tend to other's garden's is foolish. Although others can sit and enjoy it's beauty, they cannot feel the satisfaction of having grown it. Because my garden is MINE. I could go on and on about all the ways I have thought about how my life garden is like my vegetables and flowers.
I think you get the idea.

Traditions...not from your nose.
We have a tradition in our house. If it's your birthday, you get to pick what we have for dinner. There are a few rules...
No desert for dinner, but you can request one for AFTER.
Must be reasonably healthy, or have a vegi somewhere in it.
Mom makes it.
Other than that, it's up to you.
So
TODAY
is
Josh's
Birthday!
He's SEVEN.
He chose Burgers and Fries for his dinner.
Last
year
he
chose
hot dogs
chilli
corn
and.........
drum roll, please....
m
a
s
h
e
d
potato.
I like this year better.
So I'm in the kitchen tonight,
right now, actually,
and Macs asks me
"What's for Josh's dinner, Mom?"
Burgers and French fries!
"Burgers?"
Uh huh...and french fries.
"Burgers and french fries?"
Yep!
"...... but not from your nose, right?"
LOL no macs... not Boogers. BURGERS.
"Oh."
I still don't think he gets it.
So there you have it!
Happy Birthday dinner, Josh! Not from your nose.

So glad I'm done Kissing Frogs

Another LO using April's Little Black Book KIT from TallyScrapper I love the way it turned out! I actually used the JACK card, and sanded off the J and one of the spades. I also doodled on my picture. Like the beauty mark? LOL
I'm feeling REALLY moody and hyper sensitive these days. Nothing huge, but EVERYTHING makes me want to CRY. I did already today. Over something silly. In front of people.
Lovely.
Sexy.
HOT.
HUGE face will never be the same again screwed up cry.
Yup.

Wise beyond her years
I was given the chance to read some things that a friend on TallyScrapper's 16 year old daughter wrote. Her daughter is wise beyond her years. She gives permission to use these with credit given to her as the author.
I believe shoes
Are overrated and give you blisters
I like to feel the spring grass in my toes
And I’d hate to miss the chance to be tickled
I believe money
Can buy you certain types of happiness
But the feeling of acceptance and being loved
that’s something you can’t buy and shouldn’t try to
I believe giving up and letting go
Are two completely different things
Giving up is when you stop working for what you deserve
Letting go is when you stop fighting for something that doesn’t deserve you
I believe art and love
Are the same thing, looking at something or someone
For what it is, not what you think it is.
And letting your heart express it.
I believe technology
Will never be able to make up for the real thing
No matter how amazing your camera is dear,
There’s nothing like meeting a sunset face to sun rays.
I believe confidence
Isn’t thinking your better then anyone,
Its knowing no one is better than you.
No matter what you look like.
I believe God
Is no rule book, or simply a super hero
He’s not a bunch of rituals or memorized prayers
He’s a relationship
I believe Salvation
Can not be earned by any man.
For your most righteous acts are filthy rags
It’s a gift, just accept it
I believe laughing
Really does heal you
If not your body, it heals your soul
And that’s the part that matters anyway.
I believe bliss
Is in the aroma of fresh coffee
Or the steam of hot tea
And the knowledge of someone’s love for you.
I believe people and muscles
Work in the same way
You have to break them and tear them
So they will grow bigger and stronger.
I believe letting go
Is one of the hardest things you have to do
Your head hurts, your mascara runs
And you feel so very alone.
I believe fire
Is another word for passion
Both burn like crazy but if you don’t
Kindle the flame, eventually it dies, and you grow very cold.
I believe Advice
Should only be given if you’ve heard both sides of the story
Because emotional people rarely tell the whole truth
And no one should be unfairly judged.
I believe that if men
Had periods
They’d probably brag about who had the worst cramps or heaviest flow
And that’s why God gave them to girls
I believe true friends
Accept you the way you are
But love you too so much they change you
Because that’s what love does, it changes you without trying.
I believe hope
Is never lost
Just temporarily misplaced
And if your looking in the right place, you’ll find it soon
I believe creation
Is Gods way of making us feel small and big at the same time
Small physically, because the ocean is deep and the stars are many
But big emotionally, because you know
HE puts you above it all.
I believe perfection
Is unachievable and those who try to achieve it
Only lose themselves in the process
And losing yourself isn’t worth an alphabetized CD collection
I believe humor
Is one of your only defenses against the universe
Because when life hands you lemons
Just stick them in your bra and thank life for the boobs
I believe thongs
Are an uncomfortable way to floss your butt
The worst thing man ever invented
And that’s why men don’t wear them
I believe forgiveness
Is a gift no one ever deserves to get
But also a gift no one ever deserves not to give
Because really who are we to decide who’s worthy?
I believe I
Am not absolutely necessary, or worthy
But absolutely wanted, and loved
And that’s the way I want it.

Week 15 Deck of ME

So how do you know that your MOM is a commited Scrapper? Well, first of all, she does her DECK OF ME cards while she's on vacation in HAWAII. Second, she emails you a CURENT picture of herself and your dad so that YOU can do your card on parents. EVEN though she would REALLY like to try to see all the OTHER cards out there this week, and what internet she DOES have can be iffy. Thanks, mom. You rock.
Week FIFTEEN!!!

More paper goodness...
Our Egg Hunt this year! I FIANLLY used this paper! Do you KNOW how long I've had this!? I think AT LEAST five years. It's by Wubie Prints. I LOVE IT.

This is a Deck of ME card that TallyScrapper challenged us to use with one of our "extra" deck cards. The prompt was MY DREAM.

I'm off to go water the garden and get ready for church! Have a GREAT day!

I have been scrapping up a storm! Loving it! BUT I really HAVE been up to other things... Like taking pictures of babies that are fresh and new, and getting to visit with their big sister's who are also a bundle of fun in a big girl package... I had THE BEST time taking these girl's pictures. They just melt me.

SOOOO Ponahfahlite...
So you've seen this picture before, but it is cute enough to put up twice. Plus, this is my blog, and I can do what I want!
Today, we went to Pizza, and Travis told Macs to say "Don't laugh at me mommy, it's not polite!"
Macs, who will do anything his daddy says because he worships the ground daddy walks on, in fact I think that daddy MADE the ground, and if he didn't, he could have if he wanted, he's WAY cooler than mommy, says
"Don't laugh at me mommy, it's ponahfalite!"
OMG
Tooo cute. So we have a new word at our house. It's pronounced
Poe nah foe lite.
Look it up in the dictionary. You'll see Macs making a face like the one in this picture, because he KNOWS it's funny.

Week 14 Deck of ME
I just can't believe how fast this year is running! Amazing! This is week FOURTEEN of EmilyFalconBridge's DECK OF ME Art Journal challenge. This week's prompt was BIRDS. I thought about using Patterned paper with a bird on it, or drawing one, but then I decided to take a picture of the wool that my friend TRACY sent to me. Tracy owns sheep. She makes all sorts of yummy lotions and potions with her sheep's milk and wool. She sent me a "gallon" of unspun wool that had been dyed so that I can put it out for the birds to use as nesting material. Because it's dyed, my hope is that we will be able to spot a nest or two with our colorful contribution in it's nest! So I did my card with a picture I took of the wool. It's so pretty just to look at! Then on the back, I cut a bird out of my Basic Grey Japanese Tea Garden paper, and put it on Jack's shoulder. It's a little hard to see, but I wrote Jack *hearts* and put white dots around the bird with my white Uniball Signo pen. Got the chance to use my new Tinkering Ink chalk set too! It's shimmery! Love it.

We should go to Easter's house....
First, I just have to say, that taking a three year old to go grocery shopping is not a good idea.
Second, if you haven't bought said three year old's Easter stuff, it's
even
W O R S E.
That said, I must add that Macs (the three year old in question) did a REALLY good job. He wanted to have the toy I bought for his basket NOW.
"No, Macs. It's for Easter. Maybe the Easter Bunny will bring it in your basket!"
We went through this a few times.
QUITE
a few.
Like, A LOT.
Then, in the middle of some silence that I do not remember being prefaced with ANYTHING about Easter, Macs pipes up with this:
"We should go to Easter's house, and knock on his door, and then he could say, COME IN, and we would go in, and he would say, HERE MACS! I HAVE A BUZZ LIGHTYEAR CAR FOR YA! Can we, Mom? Can we go to Easter's?"
That.
Is totally,
going on my Easter Layout this year.

I put a little bling in my RING today! I'm too cheap to buy cel phone bling, so I used some of my FAVE scrapping goodies to bling my phone! Week 13 Deck of ME

I just cannot believe that it is WEEK 13 ALREADY! Emily Falconbridgehas once again given us a great prompt! It was ON MY MIND. Well, lots of things have been happening for me these last few weeks! I have been given a spot on the DESIGN TEAM on TallyScrapper.com! TallyScrapper is choosing 6 of it's 8 member design team on a monthly basis, and I was SO blessed to have been given one of the two permanant spots! I've also been given a sort of moderator position on the message boards. Very Cool to be able to be a part of something SO new and SO interesting! So naturally, I've had this new spot on my mind a lot. I took from the site's web design, and created this card. Thanks for looking!
